"Mamochka" (original title: Mommy) is a 2014 Canadian drama film directed by Xavier Dolan. The film explores the complicated relationship between a volatile mother and her troubled son who has been diagnosed with ADHD and is prone to violent outbursts. Set in a fictionalized version of Canada in the year 2015, "Mamochka" examines the theme of maternal love and the challenges of single-parenthood as the mother struggles to come to terms with her son's condition and provide him with the care and support he needs. The film features powerful performances by Anne Dorval as the mother, Antoine Olivier Pilon as the son, and Suzanne Clement as the neighbour who offers assistance and understanding along the way.
